Trenchless pipe lining is a latest technique that involves pipe repair and removal without having to dig the property extensively. It is also known as the epoxy pipe lining or cured in place pipe (CIPP) technique.
Trenchless pipe lining is a simplified approach to sewer repair and replacement. It includes the insertion and placement of a felt tube inside the pipe that needs to be treated or replaced. This is followed by the placement of a balloon inside the felt tube. The inflated balloon is used to push the inserted felt tube against the pipe’s walls to treat the epoxy. It may take around an hour to repair the pipe through this technique. Once the pipe is repaired, the balloon is pierced, deflated and removed from inside the tube. The result is a brand new pipe, enclosed by the already existing pipe.
